The Main Client The Department of Livestock Services Financing institution Islamic Development Bank Total Project Cost $ US 5m Project Period 1996-97 Concise Description and Nature of Services Provided The project is aimed at improving the income of the rural communities and developing agriculture, in particular the livestock industry, within the constraints of water and feed supplies. This is to be done without degrading the environment and the traditional grazing areas under the management of the local communities. There are three major technical disciplines involved:
mascott provided specialists in all three disciplines over a period of twelve months, and also undertook the procurement of fencing materials, training equipment, office equipment and the solar pumps.
