Concise Description and Nature of Services Provided

Revitalisation of National research and extension services including:- preparation of national masterplans; improving donor co-ordination; research prioritisation; reorganising research network and RE management systems; supervision of major civil works programme; revision of DOA accounting procedures; manpower planning and training; procurement and monitoring and evaluation.

Contracted to provide overall management and co-ordination comprising:- Project Manager, Finance Controller, Research Management Specialist, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist, and relevant short-term consultants.

Achievements

The establishment of a revitalised research network with much closer co-ordination with extension.

A reorganised extension service operating the training and visit system.
